GIS/AGIE Bus Trip a Success!

by @ 3:07 pm. Filed under General

June 28th was the much anticipated FREE GIS bus trip to take our current and potential AGIE EDM customers up to Lincolnshire, IL for an all-day Pre-IMTS Open House. With 6 dozen of Grandma’s cookies and a bus loaded with food, people and caffeine, we were on our way to the AGIE demo facility. Along the way, to help distract from the fine Chicago traffic, our customers were entertained with prizes, gift bags and literature to help them spruce up their AGIE IQ.  Upon arrival our eager passengers participated in Advanced Wire Training and a fascinating seminar on Micro/Nano technology presented by some of the finest minds in the EDM industry.  We then had the opportunity to see first-hand some very interesting demonstrations on the latest cutting edge Wire EDM and Die-Sink equipment AGIE has to offer.  Numerous AGIE personnel were available to showcase these machines, answer any questions and offer their expertise on AGIE EDM. The exciting specifics on what we laid our eyes on?.. you ask.  Well, we’ll just have to keep that secret to ourselves. Guess you’ll just have to join us next time to find out why AGIE, GIS and our customers just LOVE these machines!  With new technology and visions of more productive machines dancing in our heads, we closed the door on the bus to begin our trek home.  It was a fun way to bring such a great day to a close - sports debates, cold beverages and sharing of jokes (VERY funny jokes). I seem to remember something about a Scottish kilt…  Anyway, we departed AGIE that day excited about new things to come, innovative ways to approach manufacturing and ideas in how to become more competive with AGIE as a partner along the way.  Here’s to yet another successful adventure brought to you by GIS!
